May 1st, 2022 - Heraeus Conamic, a leading-edge material specialist for the manufacturing and processing of the industry’s highest purity fused silica, announced in November 2021 it has acquired the Korean company HS Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. (HSAM), a converter and distributor of semi-finished quartz materials for the semiconductor and other industries. Effective May 1st, 2022, the former business of HSAM is fully integrated into Heraeus Conamic and operates under the company name Heraeus Korea Corporation.

Products & Competencies
The Heraeus Conamic quartz business in Korea offers semi-finished quartz products to quartz fabricators in Korea and worldwide. The product portfolio includes all quartz base materials from Heraeus and Heraeus’ joint venture Shin-Etsu Quartz Products, e.g.: quartz rings, ingots, plates, rods and tubes.
The quartz conversion capabilities include various technologies, such as:

- Band saws
- Core drilling
- Lathe cutting
- Grinding
